A big boy who eats carrots

On Tuesday Harvey went to get his 2nd vaccination. Two shots, one in each thigh. Once again the father was ready with a syringe full of home made sugar water to ease the shock/pain, while the mother had tears in her eyes and had to look away. Something about those chunky white naked thighs, his innocent smile unknowing of what was about to be done to him.

He took it amazingly well, hardly cried and was fine afterwards. A little bit tired and mum-sick for 1-2 days but no fever or anything.

He was measured and weighed too, and is currently 69 cm long and weighs 7,6 kilos. A big boy, the doctor said and showed us how he has jumped out of the average growth curve.

Harvey's latest thing is chewing on two hands at the same time. Every time we try to catch it on camera, he pulls out at least one hand, but a couple of days ago we got it:

Yesterday Harvey tasted carrot mash for the first time and seemed to love it (as you can see he still hasn't got the eating technique quite down yet):
